Eco-storytelling - Your story can change our planet’s future

Storytelling can be an incredibly powerful tool, especially when in the hands of those seeking to change the world around them.

During COP26, we’ve partnered with Restless Development to support five Youth Power Climate Reps. We’ve hosted a session on Eco-storytelling to help young activists own their stories while changing the planet’s future. There was big interest in the session and it was a great opportunity to connect with so many of you across the world who want to make a difference.

As part of the session, our Youth Power Climate Reps shared their own stories both in spoken and written form. We looked at their written stories to explore what makes a powerful story and how to inspire others to work on their own narratives to make a change.

Our team also presented a brief introduction to storytelling and the questions to answer when working on your own story of change.

If you missed the session, you can check out the recording here.

We’re hoping you’ll be inspired by their stories as much as we did!

Keep an eye on our channels as there will be more similar sessions in the future.

Digital Resilience in Action: Life Lifters Kenya’s journey through BRIDGE

In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, the ability to engage online is a necessity. For nonprofits, especially those working in underserved regions or tackling complex social issues, digital tools can be the bridge between intention and impact. Whether it’s reaching new donors, advocating for policy change, or delivering services, digital capacity enables organisations to scale their mission and deepen their impact. Yet many grassroots organisations remain digitally under-resourced. That’s why Lightful created the BRIDGE programme - Building Resilience in Digital Growth and Engagement - to empower nonprofits with the skills, confidence, and strategies to thrive in the digital age and build lasting change.

Grants++ Event: How funders can help beyond grantmaking and build the long term resilience of charities

What a fantastic morning we had last month! Lightful hosted our Grants ++ event designed to bring funders together to explore how they can go beyond traditional grantmaking and truly support charities on their journey to long term sustainability. In a time where the funding landscape is shifting so rapidly, it was fantastic to connect in person for such an uplifting conversation, to collectively spark ideas on how funders can support their grantees and to launch Lightful’s next BRIDGE programme in June, supporting nonprofits with digital and AI skills.
